2001 Summer Program Packed with Fun!

The summer activities were fun-filled events.  Seventy-three percent of the Scouts participated in at least one of the following events:

J     Flag Destruction Ceremony

J     Veterans Day Ceremony

J     "2001 A Cub Space Odyssey" Summer Camp

J     Creekside Trail Bike Trip

Six Scouts earned their Summer Activity Pin by participating in at least three Scouting events this summer. Read on for a rundown of participation by event:

¨      Two Scouts and Mr. Sabo attended the rain soaked Flag Destruction Ceremonies.

¨      Fifteen Scouts and total of thirty-three people helped decorate veteran's graves at the VA Cemetery.

¨      Summer Camp was the most popular event.  Twenty-seven Scouts went on a Cub Space Odyssey.  All Scouts will receive a commemorative Photo CD-R disc.

¨      Eight Scouts and a total of twenty-one people braved the heat on the Creekside Bike Trail from Beavercreek to Xenia (and back)!  We enjoyed Marion's Piazza afterward.

Thanks to all the leader and parent volunteers that help plan and execute these activities. The leaders and parents seem to enjoy the outings as much as the Scouts.
